The Cleanse-Day 1 for Joli

Okay, so today was relatively easy to do as I felt pretty run down after the weekend. Too much food and drink over the holiday:)  I suspect I will be missing that something sweet and that beer I share with Brett when we get home from work sometime around Wednesday or Thursday.

But, here is the low down of day 1: As you will see, there is plenty of food. The purpose is not to stop the natural digestive process, but to provide the body with all the best ingredients.

Breakfast: (around 6:30am) The following were spread out over the hour until 7:30
*Scrambled eggs(1 full 1 white) in a touch of olive oil with red peppers and broccoli. These were seasoned with black pepper.
*A slice of "fitness bread"(can be found at stop and shop in the organic aisle) with 1 tbl of almond butter
*1 pear
*2 decaf coffees with unsweetened soy milk

Snack: (1pm)
*1 banana

Lunch: (1:45)
*Arugula salad w/ black beans, red peppers, sugar snap peas, broccoli, 1/2 avocado-dressed with 2 tbl of Salsa and Black pepper
*1 slice of fitness bread with 1 tbl of Almond butter drizzled w/ honey

Snack: (4:30)
*A few strawberries & a handful of black berries

Snack: (5:30)
*A med decaf 1% latte
*A handful of Cashews

Dinner: (7:45)
*Exact same salad as lunch, but 1/2 of the 1/2 avocado went in the salad.
*1 slice of fitness bread with the left over avocado spread on top along with a spoonful of salsa

Desert: (8:15)
*1 whole grapefruit

Well, that sums up day 1...and now I am off to bed so I am not tempted by anything down here! I will let you know how tomorrow goes.

And just an fyi, I also got a full body strength workout in around 9am. It lasted about an hour.
